Dr. Wayne L. Martin
is the senior Optometrist in the practice. He graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science degree and went on to complete his doctorate in Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He is a member of the California Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and the Contra Costa - Alameda County Optometric Association. Dr. Martin practices full scope Optometry, having been in practice for 41 years-with 20 years at the present location. His specialties include difficult cases of contact lens fitting, 12 years of Lasik management, and visual learning disabilities. He is well qualified to manage and diagnose diseases of the eye with a Certification of diagnostics and treatment of the eye. Along the way he has been a contact lens and solution consultant for American Optical, developed a vision screening program for the handicapped in Contra Costa County, and has been a consultant for the Mount Diablo School System for the past 25 years. He has lectured to the Kindergarten Teachers Association and is the director of a visual screening program for ten private schools. He enjoys sailing, golf, biking and skiing, and lots of traveling with his wife. His four grandkids keep him very busy.
Dr. Rowena Velasquez
received her undergraduate degree from U.C. Berkeley with a B.A. in Psychology and her Doctorate in Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry. She completed clinical rotations at the Optometric Center of L.A.; Center for the Partially Sighted in Santa Monica; and the West Los Angeles VA Health Center, where she gained experience in the areas of ocular disease and low vision. She has 16 years experience in fitting customized contact lenses, treating eye infections and co- managing LASIK surgery. Dr. Velasquez is dedicated to providing the highest quality eyecare in a thorough and caring manner. When she is not in the office, she enjoys gardening, reading, and cooking and keeps busy with her daughter and twin boys.
Dr. Casey Wegenke
graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry and has been in private practice for 10 years. She is a Wyoming native and graduated from the University of WY with a degree in biochemistry. Dr. Wegenke practices full scope optometry: fitting of contact lenses and glasses, pre and post-op care for LASIK and cataract patients, and overall detection, management, and treatment of ocular disease. She has a special interest in developmental vision and vision therapy. It is her goal to assess all aspects of the visual system and evaluate the relationship between vision and learning. Dr. Wegenke is a member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, the Alameda Contra Costa County Society, and an associate member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. Dr. Wegenke enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, traveling, cooking, and scrap booking.
Chandra Paolini, Office Manager began working for For Your Eyes Only Optometric Center since 2001 and has over ten years of experience in the optical field. Her continued efforts to exceed expectations and her superior people skills earned her the position of Office Manager. Chandra is responsible for maintaining the excellent quality of care and service you expect from our office. If you have any questions or concerns please let her know.
Maciej Rosner, Lab Manager is a Certified Optician with the American Board of Opticianry. He has worked in the optical field since 1983 and has been working with For Your Eyes Only Optometric Center since 1989. Maciej is the manager for our on-site lab and is known as the magician when it comes to adjusting and repairing glasses. He prides himself on keeping up-to-date on the new trends in the field by reading journals and attending continuing education seminars.
Trish Rodriguez, Optometric Assistant has worked in the optical field since 2004 and has been working with For Your Eyes Only Optometric Center since 2007. She is responsible for various reception and administration duties which include confirming appointments, pre-testing, frame selections and contact lens training. She looks forward to assisting you with all your eye health and optical needs
Ken Desouza is For Your Eyes Only Optometric Center special projects manager and has been working at the practice since 1994. He is responsible for maintaining the office network and ensuring all the different areas of the practice are running smoothly.
